Data Product Manager

Role Overview:
Collabera is hiring a Data Product Manager for a leading banking client in Bangalore. This role will lead the strategy, design, and delivery of scalable, reusable data products within Retail Banking, enabling data-driven decision-making through strong governance, advanced analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of experience with strong exposure to data product management / technical product ownership
- Hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, AWS data services, and Spark ETL
- Strong understanding of data governance concepts: metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud architecture and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub)
- Exposure to AI/ML tools and experience in building POCs for automation (preferred 1–2 years)
- Solid understanding of data mesh architecture and distributed data ecosystems
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Techno-functional mindset with the ability to work closely with engineering teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data products across service domains, ensuring alignment with business and consumer needs
- Manage and govern metadata, data lineage, and data quality across data products
- Work extensively with AWS data services (Athena, Glue, Redshift) for data querying, transformation, and storage
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand and review Spark ETL pipelines and data transformations
- Drive adherence to data governance frameworks, including access controls, compliance, and lifecycle phase gates
- Partner with stakeholders across domains (Retail, Risk, Treasury, Corporate, HR) to enable data product adoption
- Contribute to data mesh architecture implementation and ensure effective producer-consumer data relationships
- Leverage AI tools to support automation of governance processes and lifecycle management
- Act as a bridge between business and engineering teams, guiding implementation and architectural decisions
