Job Description

Role Overview

The Product Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in enabling efficient, data-driven product delivery. This position focuses on providing delivery insights, automating reporting, and enhancing operational transparency across product teams. The analyst collaborates with stakeholders from Product, Engineering, and Delivery to ensure that metrics, tools, analytics, and agile processes scale effectively. This collaboration supports informed decision-making throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Metrics & Insights

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret delivery metrics to track performance, outcomes, and trends across product teams.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that improve delivery predictability, transparency, and operational decision-making.
  • Produce analytics on release performance, throughput, flow efficiency, capacity, and agile health.

Automation & Reporting Enablement

  • Automate manual reporting, document generation, and release communications using AI, Jira APIs, and Power BI.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports for teams, Product Owners, and leadership.
  • Ensure reporting and analytics comply with internal governance, audit, and external standards.

Jira Administration & Agile Support

  • Own core Jira administration, including users, permissions, project configuration, issue types, workflows, fields, and automations.
  • Configure and optimize Scrum and Kanban boards using JQL, filters, swimlanes, columns, and quick filters.
  • Support consistent agile practices across teams, including backlog structure, sprint setup, estimation, and Kanban flow.

Tooling, AI & Platform Governance

  • Evaluate and implement Atlassian Marketplace applications and AI-enabled capabilities (e.g., Smart JQL, AI-assisted issue creation, Rovo agents
  • Support tooling integrations, migrations, and upgrades.
  • Establish and maintain standards for Jira configuration, documentation, and platform health.
  • Monitor Jira performance, scalability, and reliability in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing delivery, operational, or product performance data.
  • Hands-on experience administering Jira in Scrum and Kanban environments.
  • Proficiency with JQL, dashboards, workflows, automations, and board configuration.
  • Experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI and Jira APIs/connectors.
  • Working knowledge of agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, lead time, throughput, WIP).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Nice to Have-to-Have

  • Experience with Atlassian Intelligence, Rovo, or other AI-driven productivity tools.
  • Experience evaluating Atlassian Marketplace add-ons.
  • Background in product operations or enterprise-scale agile environments.
  • Exposure to regulatory, audit, or compliance reporting requirements.
