About The Role

Product Manager II will own daytoday decisions and prioritization for a product, working within problem/solution spaces negotiated with senior leadership. Working in close partnership with Senior Product Managers based in the UK, they will negotiate and refine product requirements specifications containing clear boundaries, goals, and constraints, then take ownership of the detailed solution value, design and delivery tradeoffs through to production and impact monitoring.

The role represents the voice of the customer within the delivery team, grounding decisions in strong analytical insight, first-hand customer understanding, and pragmatic judgement. Product Manager II will collaborate crossfunctionally to shape viable solutions, supervise value through implementation, and monitor and assess impact. They will also lead product demos at key milestones, clearly articulating outcomes, tradeoffs, and learning to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Customer Focus

  • Works to deeply understand internal and external customer motivations, needs and constraints.
  • Represents the voice of the customer and the business to the delivery team.
  • Continuously aims to tailor solutions to meet customer needs without compromising business viability.

Data-Driven Decision-Making & Analysis

  • Makes trade off decisions between potential product capabilities and implementation options.
  • Evaluates product hypotheses in a quantitative manner, including AB testing for interactive products.
  • Accounts for qualitative feedback and shows awareness of what kinds of data can answer which kinds of questions.
  • Effectively partners with data analytics function to collaborate on generating data-informed insights.

Go to Market & Product Marketing Lifecycle

  • Incorporate commercial needs and revenue impact into prioritisation decisions.
  • Assists on launch plans through coordinated development with external customer facing teams such as product success, marketing and sales.
  • Answers sales and customer questions regarding feature and service functionality, including background, context, rationale and choices made
  • Support cross-functional collaboration to resolve blockers to adoption and operability.
  • Outlines key milestones, outcomes and deliverables during go-to-market and product strategy planning.

Product Delivery & Development Lifecycle

  • Unlocks team implementation by providing sufficient specification and context to enable them to make continuous progress.
  • Has a deep understanding of his/her product and develops prototypes.
  • Participates in product discovery, according to defined process, for new product and feature development.
  • Effectively partner with others to ensure value delivery, including communicating impacts, protecting hard commitments, actively manage risks to schedule such as compliance sign-offs.
  • Is familiar with SDLCs as identified by management e.g. agile processes.

Strategy & Product Evolution

  • Define solutions that balance customer need, competitive context, technology choices and core values.
  • Works in a structured way to define assumptions, gather evidence and establish confidence regarding key assumptions.
  • Facilitates exploration around ideas to see if better ideas are possible, comparing options and justifying why choices are made.

Suggested Minimum Years of PM Experience: 4-6 years

Critical Experiences

  • Identified, led and released changes or enhancements that improved customer in satisfaction and/or commercial impact.
  • Demonstration of thorough product development knowledge, include the ability to develop related business cases, content and product plans.

Education to Qualify: Bachelors or Master's degree in a technical subject (Computer Science or Engineering discipline) is preferred, but not essential.
