Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Marketing Specialist to join the Sharpsell.ai team.
This role is critical for driving the go-to-market strategy, messaging, and positioning for our innovative
B2B SaaS products and features. You will be the voice of the market internally and the voice of the
product externally, equipping sales, influencing product development, and collaborating with
marketing to ensure our offerings resonate deeply with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Market & Competitive Intelligence:
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand target customer needs, pain points,
- purchasing behavior, and market trends.
- Analyze the competitive landscape, including competitor products, pricing, messaging,
- and go-to-market strategies, identifying differentiators and opportunities.
- Gather and synthesize customer insights and feedback to inform product roadmap decisions.
Messaging & Positioning:
- Develop clear, compelling, and differentiated value propositions, messaging frameworks, and positioning for new and existing Sharpsell.ai products and features.
- Translate complex technical product features into benefit-driven narratives that
- resonate with B2B buyers and address their specific business challenges.
- Ensure consistent product messaging across all internal and external communications, marketing materials, and sales tools.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy & Execution:
- Own the planning and execution of comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product launches, feature releases, and updates.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to define launch objectives, target audiences, key messages, and launch timelines.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities required for successful product launches.
Sales Enablement:
- Create essential sales tools and collateral, including sales decks, battle cards, demo scripts, FAQs, objection handling guides, and competitive intelligence briefs.
- Train sales teams on product capabilities, value propositions, competitive differentiators, and effective sales techniques to improve their effectiveness.
- Work closely with sales leadership to identify enablement gaps and continuously optimize sales resources.
Product Content Development:
- Develop product-specific marketing content such as solution briefs, data sheets, website product pages, explainer videos, and specific use case examples.
- Collaborate with the Content Marketing Specialist to ensure product narratives are integrated into broader content strategies and campaigns.
Customer Advocacy & Feedback:
- Support initiatives to gather customer testimonials, case studies, and references.
- Act as an internal advocate for the customer, ensuring their voice is heard in product development and marketing efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of dedicated experience in Product Marketing, specifically within a B2B SaaS environment.
- B2B SaaS Acumen: Deep understanding of the B2B sales cycle, buyer personas, and the unique challenges and opportunities within the SaaS landscape.
- Strategic & Analytical Skills: Proven ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and translate insights into actionable product marketing strategies.
- Messaging Expertise: Demonstrated ability to develop strong, differentiated product messaging and positioning.
- Communication:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and presenting complex information simply and engagingly.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success).
- Project Management:Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Education: Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
