Your role and responsibilities

You will responsibly Implements product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy in assigned area to meet business objectives. Implements marketing activities and supports Sales organization in driving sales and services for their respective products.

The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification Business, Smart Buildings Division as a Product Marketing Specialist for LV_ACB Products, will be based at Bangalore - India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Product Strategy & Market Development: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for circuit breaker product lines, including market segmentation, positioning, pricing, competitive analysis, and product roadmaps aligned with customer needs and market trends.

  • Marketing Communications & Launches: Create and manage high-quality marketing content (brochures, catalogs, white papers, case studies, videos, digital assets) and coordinate cross-functional product launch activities across channels.

  • Sales Enablement & Training: Design and deliver sales training, tools, configurators, reference guides, and technical presentations to support sales teams, channel partners, and key customer engagements.

  • Customer & Market Intelligence: Gather voice-of-customer insights, analyze market and competitor trends, track industry standards and regulations, and provide actionable feedback to R&D and product management.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, R&D, regional marketing, digital, service, and manufacturing teams to ensure effective product development, localization, availability, and life-cycle support.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required, with additional qualifications in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field Master's degree.

  • 5-8 years of experience in product marketing within electrical equipment, power distribution, or industrial automation industries.

  • Domain Knowledge: At least 3 years of practical experience with low-voltage circuit breakers, switchgear, or power distribution equipment.

  • Experience in executing effective product launches and B2B marketing initiatives for technical items.

  • Circuit Breaker Technology: Deep understanding of circuit breaker technologies, applications, and low-voltage power distribution systems (up to 1000V AC).

  • Technical Specifications Knowledge: Familiarity with ACB ratings (current up to 6300A, breaking capacity up to 150kA), protection devices, trip units (Ekip), and digital monitoring solutions.

  • Standards & Applications: Proficient knowledge of industry standards (IEC 60947-2, UL 489, IEC 61439) and applications across renewable energy, data centers, and industrial plants.

  • Marketing & Communication Skills: Advanced skills in product marketing and go-to-market strategy development, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
