About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and execution-focused Senior Product Manager to own and drive the roadmap for our cloud telephony platform. You will work at the intersection of product strategy, customer insight, and engineering execution — defining how businesses communicate at scale. Partnering closely with engineering, sales, and customer success, you will build products that set the standard for cloud communications.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the end-to-end product roadmap for Alohaa's cloud telephony platform, balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform vision.
  • Define and prioritise features based on customer needs, market trends, and business goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align product strategy with company growth and revenue objectives.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Conduct customer discovery sessions and interviews to uncover pain points and unmet needs.
  • Analyse usage telemetry, support tickets, and churn signals to inform product decisions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape in the cloud telephony space to drive differentiation.

Cloud Telephony Product Ownership

  • Translate domain knowledge of VoIP, SIP, IVR, and call routing into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Define requirements for call management, number provisioning, trunk management, and real-time analytics features.
  • Drive improvements to call quality, reliability, and latency with a clear understanding of how technical constraints affect end-user experience.

Go-to-Market & Launch

  • Lead product launches end-to-end — from internal readiness to customer communication and sales enablement.
  • Define pricing and packaging strategies for new product capabilities in collaboration with business and marketing teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering on sprint planning, technical trade-offs, and delivery timelines.
  • Work with Customer Success to close the feedback loop between field insights and product development.
  • Define and track KPIs and OKRs for product areas; share regular updates with leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Product Management

  • 6–10 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a cloud communications or CPaaS platform environment.
  • Proven track record of owning and shipping products from ideation to launch in a fast-paced, engineering-led organisation.
  • Strong analytical mindset — comfortable working with data and making evidence-based prioritisation decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distil complex technical and business problems into clear narratives.

Cloud Telephony Domain Knowledge

  • Hands-on familiarity with cloud telephony concepts: SIP trunking, IVR/call flows, DTMF, call recording, number management, and carrier interconnects.
  • Working knowledge of VoIP platforms and SIP-based communication systems — enough for credible technical conversations with engineers.
  • Experience with API-first cloud communications platforms — either as a builder, product owner, or power user.

Technical Collaboration

  • Comfortable reading API documentation, writing detailed product specs, and reviewing engineering proposals.
  • Experience with REST API product design — defining endpoints, webhooks, and developer-facing capabilities for telephony use cases.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts relevant to carrier-grade reliability requirements.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with contact centre platforms or agent desktop solutions.
  • Exposure to AI/ML in voice pipelines — speech-to-text, voicebots, or real-time transcription.
  • Understanding of telecom billing systems, CDR processing, and usage-based pricing models.
