Role Overview
The Product Manager 2W Tyres will be responsible for end-to-end creation, launch, and lifecycle management, Field trail and testing of a new two-wheeler tyre business. This role bridges customer needs, market trends, regulatory requirements, R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market & Customer Understanding
- Conduct VOC studies across commuter, Executive, premium, Sports, Cruiser and EV segments
- Benchmark competitors on product, pricing and positioning
2. Product Strategy & Portfolio Planning
- Define product roadmap and size matrix
- Decide tread patterns, compound and cost-performance balance
3. New Product Development (NPD)
- Own product from concept to SOP
- Define targets, validation plans and gate reviews
4. Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure BIS and applicable regulations compliance
- Support certification and homologation
5. EV & Future Technology
- Define EV-specific tyre requirements
- Align with sustainability and premiumisation trends
7. Product Launch & Sales Support
- Lead product launch, positioning and training
- Support OEM and replacement market sales
8. Lifecycle Management
- Monitor field performance and warranty
- Drive continuous improvement

Experience
Experience in product management, NPD, or technical project management within the automotive / tyre/manufacturing industry, preferably in the 2W segment.
