Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to lead the technical product strategy, development, and execution of UPI payment products. The role entails driving innovation, market differentiation, and customer value, while ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with company objectives. Ultimately, the incumbent plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of UPI payments, driving growth, and delivering exceptional experiences for users.
Responsibilities we entrust you with
- Lead the roadmap for UPI payments products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market needs.
- Drive product development from conception to launch, including defining features, prioritizing requirements, and overseeing implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and operations, to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Define and track key performance metrics, analyzing data to make informed product decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, payment networks, regulators, and technology partners, to drive product adoption and compliance.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to UPI payments, and incorporate insights into product roadmap and development. Being a dynamic organization, role will keep evolving based on appetite and performance.
What matters in this role
Relevant work experience
- 4 -6 years in Product Management, preferably in Fintech industry
- Proven track record of success in product management, with at 2-3 years experience in payments or fintech, preferably with a focus on UPI.
- Strong understanding of the UPI ecosystem, including regulations, technical standards, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making, combined with a bias for action and results.
- Experience in managing complex projects and driving consensus in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for innovation and a customer-centric mindset, with a relentless focus on delivering value to users and driving business growth.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and lead through change, with a willingness to roll up sleeves and tackle challenges head-on.
