Role Overview

Our client is looking for a domain-expert Product Manager to lead the evolution of our Pre-Trade Risk Management System. Unlike a traditional broking role, you will be working on the software provider side, building robust, low-latency risk engines that empower Indian stockbrokers to manage multi-asset risk in real-time. You will bridge the gap between complex SEBI/Exchange regulations and high-performance software execution.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy: Define the roadmap for our Pre-Trade RMS, ensuring it handles Equity, F&O, Commodities, and Currency segments seamlessly.
Feature Engineering: Design and oversee the implementation of pre-trade checks, including quantity limits, value limits, price band validations, and margin checks.
B2B Client Onboarding: Act as the primary product consultant for new broker clients, understanding their specific risk appetite and configuring the software to meet their operational needs.
Regulatory Alignment: Maintain a generic yet solid understanding of SEBI/Exchange mandates to ensure the software remains compliant with the latest margin and trading frameworks.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with engineering teams to prioritize the product backlog, ensuring high availability and low-latency performance of the risk engine.
Market Analysis: Keep a pulse on the Indian broking landscape to identify trends in MTF (Margin Trading Facility) and algorithmic trading risk requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 4–5 years of experience in Product Management, specifically within the Indian Capital Markets ecosystem.
Domain Expertise: Proven track record working with Pre-Trade Risk Systems. Familiarity with how brokers manage real-time risk across all segments (Cash, Derivatives, CD, and MCX).
Industry Background: Prior experience working with a Financial Software Provider (e.g., vendor-side) is highly preferred.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to break down complex exchange circulars into functional software requirements.
