Job Description


The Product Manager- Savings Account will lead the development, management, and digital transformation of the Bank's Savings Account portfolio. The role involves end-to-end ownership of product lifecycle, customer journeys, process optimization, regulatory compliance, and profitability, with a sharp focus on enhancing customer experience and driving business growth across segments.

Overall Job Description

Product & Portfolio Management

  • Develop and execute the product roadmap and strategy for Savings Accounts
  • Leverage AI/ML models for customer segmentation, propensity scoring, and personalization
  • Manage product variants across Retail, Salary, TASC, Government and Household segments
  • Conduct market research, peer benchmarking, and trend analysis for product improvements
  • Define product features, benefits, pricing, and value propositions
  • Drive acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention strategies
  • Monitor portfolio metrics such as CASA growth, balances, profitability, and customer mix
  • Build business cases and track performance against targets

Customer Journey & Digital Ownership

  • Own end-to-end customer journey (onboarding → servicing → lifecycle engagement)
  • Integrate AI-powered onboarding journeys (eKYC automation, document verification, fraud detection)
  • Work closely with Technology and Operations teams to simplify customer journeys and improve service delivery
  • Ensure seamless and intuitive mobile and web experiences
  • Incorporate Voice of Customer (VoC) insights into journey improvements

Policy, Process & Governance

  • Review and enhance SOPs, product policies, T&Cs, and process documentation
  • Drive intelligent process automation (IPA/RPA + AI) for account opening and servicing
  • Use AI-based anomaly detection to identify process inefficiencies and risks and redesign them
  • Standardize and digitize processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and consistency
  • Define and monitor process KPIs and performance metrics
  • Develop real-time process monitoring dashboards with AI alerts

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to RBI regulations, KYC/AML norms, and internal policies
  • Manage updates to rates, charges, policy notes, and compliance frameworks
  • Support regulatory reporting and ensure timely resolution of regulator queries
  • Identify and mitigate risks in product and process frameworks

Business Growth & Partnerships

  • Drive CASA growth, revenue, and customer acquisition
  • Identify opportunities for new initiatives, innovation, and incremental revenue generation
  • Manage alliances, tie-ups, and partnerships for product promotions and cross-sell
  • Own marketing collaterals including brochures, website content, and campaigns

Stakeholder Management & Enablement

  • Act as SPOC for product knowledge, marketing support, and campaigns across frontline channels
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Ops, Tech, Design, and Sales teams
  • Conduct trainings and mentoring for frontline teams on product/process changes
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders for seamless execution

P&L and Performance Ownership

  • Own Savings Account P&L, budgets, and revenue targets
  • Improve channel productivity and business performance
  • Track and optimize product usage, engagement, and profitability

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

EDUCATION

MBA / PGDM in Finance or Marketing (Tier 1 / Tier 2 preferred)

WORK EXPERIENCE

3–7 years of experience in banking or financial services

Strong experience in Savings Accounts / CASA / Liabilities product management

Exposure to AI/ML, data analytics, or digital transformation projects preferred
