Role Overview
The Product Manager Cards Proposition & Partnerships will be responsible for endtoend ownership of card propositions, feature innovation, and partnerled value creation across RuPay Debit and Credit Cards. The role will focus on building differentiated card value propositions, launching new customer-centric variants, strengthening premium and business offerings, and managing strategic ecosystem partnerships.
This role will work at the intersection of product design, partner management, government programs, and service experience, with a strong emphasis on execution excellence and market relevance.
Preferred Background:
- Experience: 36 years in managing card products within a bank, card network, or fintech
- Education: Graduate degree (B.Tech preferred)
Postgraduate qualification in Marketing / Finance is a plus
- Relevant Exposure: Super Premium Credit Card feature development
Key Responsibilities
Card Features & Platform Enablement
- Own the development of new feature-based cards across Debit and Credit portfolios.
- Ensure feature enablement, scheme compliance, and operational feasibility.
Proposition & Value Framework
- Lead the revamp of value propositions for Debit card and Premium credit cards.
- Create clearly differentiated customer value propositions (CVPs) that drive customer pull rather than pure issuer push.
- Design and launch new card variants which are Digital-first, simplified, high-engagement propositions
Premium Experience & Service Delivery
- Identify and address gaps in service delivery, customer experience, and operational processes for premium card products.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to improve end-to-end premium customer journeys, including onboarding, benefit access, and servicing.
Government Programs & Policy Collaboration
- Work closely with the Government & Policy teams to support Product construct and design for government-led initiatives, Policy alignment and compliance
- Ensure timely execution and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Debit and Credit Card product design and value propositions
- Experience building feature-based and segment-led card variants
- Ability to balance customer value, issuer economics, and operational constraints
- Proven experience in partner management and ecosystem coordination
- Analytical capability to assess feature costs, ROI, and adoption impact
- Strong stakeholder management across internal teams, banks, partners, and government bodies
