What's the role
As a Platform Product Manager at Jar, you will own the vision and strategy for the core technology platform that powers all our products. Your mission is to build the foundational systems, tools, and services that enable our engineering, data, and product teams to move faster, scale efficiently, and deliver seamless experiences to millions of users.
This is a highly technical and strategic role where you'll collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and architecture teams to make Jar's infrastructure more scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly.
What will be your responsibilities
- Define and drive platform strategy and roadmap for scalability, reliability, and operational excellence
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to build platform capabilities that accelerate development and boost productivity
- Work with architecture and SRE teams to enhance system reliability, observability, and cost efficiency (AWS/GCP)
- Integrate security controls, access management, and compliance into platform design
- Translate technical problems into clear requirements and manage initiatives from ideation to rollout
- Use data and metrics to evaluate platform performance and prioritise improvements
- Build self-service tools and automate workflows to improve developer experience
What's required from you
- 3+ years total experience, with minimum 1+ years in platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling product management
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), CI/CD, observability tools, and microservices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to use metrics for data-driven decisions
- Hands-on experience delivering complex technical products, balancing speed, stability, and scalability
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Bonus: Developer platforms, internal tooling, or AI/ML infrastructure experience; engineering/DevOps background
