Job Description

Shape the future of the Events Platform by owning outcomes across registration, communications, check-in, payments, and reporting. Partner with product, technology, design, data, and operations teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable event experiences end-to-end.

As an Area Product Owner for the Events Platform, you will own a portfolio of capabilities-registration, communications, check-in, payments, and reporting-and lead delivery from intake and prioritization through launch and adoption. You will translate business needs into a roadmap and an executable plan, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery aligns to risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements. You will drive cross-functional execution and continuous improvement while partnering closely with stakeholders across product, technology, agility, design, and data.

Job responsibilities
  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Own end-to-end product delivery for the Events Platform, including intake, prioritization, dependency management, and release management across registration, communications, check-in, payments, and reporting
  • Manage and maintain the product backlog define epics/user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring clear outcomes and delivery readiness also develop and maintain quarterly roadmaps and milestone plans provide transparent status reporting and executive-ready summaries
  • Lead change management activities across functional partners and ensure adherence to firm risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage timelines and dependencies proactively identify blockers, drive resolution, and ensure adequate resourcing in partnership with functional leads
  • Partner with technology leads to plan sprints, coordinate releases, and ensure delivery stays on track to roadmap commitments and drive go-live and implementation activities, including readiness checklists, production verification testing, and operational handoffs

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Demonstrated ability to execute operational management and change readiness activities in a regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery practices and experience working within an agile product delivery lifecycle.
  • Experience in platform-wide release management, including deployment processes and strategies

  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills ability to translate insights into prioritized delivery actions
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities able to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment & Proven ability to anticipate delivery and production support needs and create mitigation plans

  • Ability to influence across functional areas to align resources toward the roadmap and key milestones and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, including business value vs. cost trade-off discussions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Experience building or running event-related platforms and workflows (e.g., registration, check-in, communications, payments, reporting)
  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle, user-centric design, and data analytics
  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Strong organizational skills with high initiative able to work independently and across teams
  • Familiarity with controls-by-design, operational readiness, and continuous improvement practices
