Job Description

We're building the future of how small businesses operate — payments, onboarding, websites, growth — all being reimagined with agentic AI. The SME Payments Group at Razorpay runs 15 product pods with full-stack ownership. We're not slapping AI on top of old products. We're rethinking what each product should be when an agent can do the heavy lifting. If you're a builder who thinks in systems, loves data, and wants to work at the frontier of AI-native fintech — read on.

The charter: Own the end-to-end onboarding infrastructure for SME merchants. Automate manual workflows through agents, rethink the authentication platform for an agentic world, and build a reliable, scalable onboarding stack.

What we need:

  • Platform thinking — you care about systems, not just surfaces. What does a reliable onboarding stack look like How do you handle KYC, auth, and risk in a world where agents initiate actions on behalf of merchants
  • Automation instinct — you look at every manual workflow and ask why does a human do this Your north star is zero-touch onboarding for the happy path.
  • Auth and identity depth — you think deeply about authentication, identity verification, and trust frameworks. How does auth change when the user isn't always a human on a browser
  • Infra-grade rigor — you understand uptime, reliability, and the cost of getting onboarding wrong. A broken onboarding flow = lost merchants at the top of the funnel.

What you'll do -

  • Build Customer Empathy: PMs have to regularly meet and understand customer needs first-hand as well as stay on top of the customer pulse via secondary insights - both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Devise Strategy: Define both long-term strategy and quarterly roadmap to achieve the product vision and create impact.
  • Conceptualize new solutions: Product Conceptualization with a problem first, data-driven, and test & iterate approach. Ensures conceptualization from a platform and a long-term view. Ensures value-based prioritization of product initiatives.
  • Build products: Collaborate with Engineering and ecosystem players to build products that customers love. Produce high-quality product specifications and effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each product launch to deliver products and features on time.
  • Launch products: Draft and execute a go-to-market plan in conjunction with Product Marketing. Be the internal and external authority and advocate for your given area of focus.
  • Ecosystem collaboration: Self-starter to collaborate closely with ecosystem players to co-build products that don't exist

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • You are obsessed with users but grounded in business and data.
  • You have 4+ years of experience in product management
  • You're hands-on, hungry, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • You have a strong command over product analytics and experimentation frameworks.
  • You understand technology deeply enough to work well with engineers, but your core superpower is thinking from a customer-first and business-first lens.
  • You think in systems, love solving root problems, and approach prioritization through impact and effort.
  • You're structured in thinking, biased for action, and love taking ownership end-to-end.
