About The Team And The Role

You will be working as part of the Supply Chain Management team with the focus on building products to drive efficiency and lowering costs across the breadth of the Supply Chain. In the SCM team at Instamart, we build products for our Instant Grocery Delivery service called Insatmart. You will specifically lead dark store workforce management products – building and scaling platforms that manage our gig pickers and in-store staff across Instamart pods. This includes defining and evolving workforce management products and compliance flows, and ensuring pod managers have the right tools to plan, monitor and improve performance.

Alongside workforce management, you will also contribute to order fulfilment flows, packaging workflows, and inventory management systems that directly impact picker productivity, fulfilment SLAs and unit economics.

As a Product Manager at Instamart, these are the things that we will be expecting from you:

>1st principle thinking; the ability to build products from scratch and the vision to scale it

>A very keen product sense exhibited through great decision making based on operations, business and technology understanding

>Ability to deeply understand dark store operations and workforce behaviour and translate those into robust systems for scheduling, incentives, HR processes and productivity tooling.

>Comfort working with high-volume operational workflows (attendance, payouts, fulfilment steps, inventory movements) and balancing user experience for ops teams with control, compliance and cost outcomes.

>Deep interest in large data handling and mathematical modelling, data oriented approach, a key eye for numbers, market insights and an appetite for business/operations context and metrics

>Effective communication skills, the ability to articulate and evangelize product vision, strategy priority and Go to market plans in a compelling manner

>Owner mentality; willingness to take initiatives, the accountability to dive closure, tenacity and grit

>The ability to collaborate with cross functional teams yet the assertiveness and influence to rally people around right products

An Ideal Candidate Will Have

>Minimum 3-5 years of product management experience in building supply chain products. Proven ability to build and optimize deep tech products and the vision to scale them fast, with a relentless focus on quality and user experience.

>Experience building products in workforce management / HRMS / logistics operations, especially around rosters, payouts, incentive programs or compliance.

>Exposure to dark store / warehouse / last-mile operations where product changes impacted picker/associate productivity, fulfilment accuracy or manpower costs.

>Strong bias for experimenting with incentives and policies (e.g. bonuses, penalties) and measuring impact on productivity, reliability and cost.

>Worked on complex cross functional products and went through the whole product journey of defining strategy to driving go to market
