Job Title: Product Manager Retail
Job Summary
The Product Manager Retail is responsible for defining, developing, and managing retail products or solutions that meet customer needs and business goals. This role works cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, supply chain, technology, and operations teams to deliver profitable and customer-centric retail products.
Key Responsibilities
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with retail business objectives
- Conduct market research, customer analysis, and competitor benchmarking
- Identify customer pain points and translate them into product requirements
- Collaborate with merchandising, pricing, supply chain, and store operations teams
- Work closely with design, engineering, and data teams to deliver product features
- Manage product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous improvement
- Prioritize product backlog based on business value, customer impact, and effort
- Track product performance using KPIs such as sales, margin, conversion, and retention
- Gather feedback from stores, customers, and stakeholders to improve products
- Ensure compliance with retail regulations, quality standards, and timelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field
- 37 years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in retail or e-commerce
- Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and customer journeys
- Experience with product management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Aha, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience with omnichannel retail (online + offline)
- Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, or loyalty programs
- Agile/Scrum product management experience
