Product Manager-Commercial Lines Underwriting

Responsibilities:

Supporting our long-standing goal to grow with profitability, we are looking for a dynamic, technical, Marine Underwriter at Liberty GIL Mumbai.

• Work closely with regional underwriting teams and Sales/Distribution team to achieve Growth with Profitability and Sustainability.
• Manage referrals for Marine Cargo underwriting and evaluate referrals based on prudent underwriting practice and adherence to company philosophy.
• Manage overall Marine portfolio toward profitability, sustainability, and growth.
• Perform data analytics on Marine Book to identify various segments and their performance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Audit and IRDA norms and guidelines.
• Collaborate with IT team for system requirements and developments.
• Guide and train Regional underwriters and Sales team on Marine underwriting and products.
• Work closely with other location underwriters and Sales team to ensure development and seamless service toward Retail and Agency marine business.
• Visit major intermediaries, brokers, clients, and branches.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in Marine Cargo Underwriting.
• FIII or similar certificates by national or international bodies preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Marine Cargo Underwriting expertise.
