As we work to enhance our digital solutions in the insurance domain, we are looking for a skilled Technology Product Owner with a strong understanding of building Technology platforms/products for Insurance products and processes. This role is critical in driving our product strategies and delivering value to our customers. This role is part of Global Core Platforms, which builds and delivers core platforms for Underwriters and Engineers across LOBs and regions within Chubb.

Role Summary:

As a Product Owner, you will be the driving force behind our Underwriting platforms and frameworks, translating business needs into actionable tasks for development teams. Your expertise in the insurance sector, combined with your product management skills, will be key in ensuring that we deliver solutions that meet business demands across LOBs/ Regions and enhance underwriting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear product vision for our underwriting platforms, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and responding to market trends and LOB/ Regional needs.
  • Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the product backlog, defining user stories that clearly articulate requirements and acceptance criteria. Ensure that the backlog is well-groomed and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and underwriting teams, to gather requirements and ensure that the product meets the needs of the business and customers. Facilitate communication between stakeholders and the development team.
  • Agile Delivery: Collaborate with engineering teams to facilitate Agile ceremonies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality product increments. Serve as the go-to person for the development team regarding any clarifications needed on requirements.
  • Domain Expertise: Leverage your insurance domain knowledge to make informed product decisions, ensuring that our offerings remain compliant and improve Insurance processes.
  • User-Centered Design: Advocate for the end-user by validating solutions against LOB needs and ensuring a user-friendly experience. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to incorporate user feedback into product iterations.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the product and its features. Use data-driven insights to guide future product direction and enhancements.
  • Documentation and Traceability: Maintain thorough documentation of product requirements and decisions, ensuring traceability from high-level business objectives down to feature specifications.
  • Market Insights: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation within our insurance solutions portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 15+ experience in IT field, with at least 3+ years as Technology Product Owner.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Technology Product Owner in developing tech platforms for underwriting, and policy lifecycle processes or Insurtech, with a solid understanding of insurance products, processes, and customer needs.
  • Demonstrate ability to combine deep business and product knowledge with technical know-how.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working within cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering user-centered products.
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
