Role Summary
Airtel Business is seeking a dynamic and outcome-driven
Product Manager to lead the Internet Leased Line (ILL) product portfolio – strategic business vertical. This role is instrumental in defining the vision, shaping the strategy, and driving execution for Internet as a product in the enterprise and SME segment. The ideal candidate will blend strategic thinking with tactical execution, working cross-functionally to deliver innovative solutions aligned with evolving market demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Vision & Strategy
- Define the end-to-end product vision and long-term strategy for Internet offerings (Internet Leased Lines, DIA, Managed Internet, etc.), ensuring scalability, competitiveness, and profitability.
- Translate market trends, customer requirements, and technological innovations into a compelling product roadmap.
- Own the P&L for the ILL product with a current revenue responsibility of ₹3000 Cr and target-driven growth plans.
- Market Intelligence & Research
- Conduct deep market research, including customer pain points, competitor analysis, industry benchmarks, and regulatory trends.
- Engage with key stakeholders—sales teams, clients—to gather feedback and identify new opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Product Roadmap & Feature Prioritization
- Create and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and emerging technology trends.
- Prioritize product enhancements and new features using data-driven frameworks that balance business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with engineering, network, BSG, Sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to drive alignment and seamless execution of the product vision.
- Work in an Agile development environment to define product epics, user stories, and sprints, ensuring timely and high-quality product delivery.
- Product Development & Execution
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation through development, launch, and ongoing evolution.
- Ensure high performance, availability, and SLA adherence of Internet products that cater to enterprise-grade requirements.
- Go-to-Market (GTM) & Launch Planning
- Drive Go-to-Market strategy, working closely with marketing to craft positioning, value propositions, messaging, and demand generation initiatives.
- Define packaging, pricing models (flat rate, bandwidth-based, usage-based), and bundling strategies for volume and value uptake.
- Lead the execution of product launches, training internal sales/support teams, and collecting market feedback post-launch.
- Growth & Customer Experience
- Constantly seek and implement opportunities to enhance customer experience, reduce churn, and increase customer lifetime value.
- Monitor usage patterns, engage with top accounts, and influence regional product adaptations as needed.
Key Success Metrics & KPIs
- Growth in revenue (YoY) for ILL portfolio
- On-time product development and launch milestones
- Customer acquisition and product penetration rate in core and emerging segments
- Market share improvement vs. key competitors
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in B2B product management, preferably in telecom, enterprise connectivity, or IT services.
- Proven experience managing high-revenue tech products (₹500 Cr+ portfolios).
- Robust understanding of enterprise Internet technologies, network architecture, DIA, VPNs, and SD-WAN is preferred.
- Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment with both strategic and execution-focused responsibilities.
- Strong analytical mindset with P&L ownership experience and expertise in commercial modelling & business case evaluations.
- Exceptional project management and communication skills – ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
- Educational background: B.Tech/BE (mandatory); MBA preferred (from Tier-1 or Tier-2 institutes).
