Product Manager

We are seeking a data-driven and execution-focused Product Manager (4–5 years of

experience) to own and scale our core payment infrastructure. In this role, you will be

responsible for building seamless checkout experiences, integrating payment gateways (PGs),

optimizing transaction routing, and leading consumer/merchant payment flows across UPI,

cards, netbanking, mandates and alternative payment methods.

You will act as the bridge between engineering, design, risk, compliance, and partner

banks/aggregators to drive higher transaction success rates, reduce checkout friction, and

maintain strict adherence to regulatory standards (NPCI/RBI).

Key Responsibilities

• Checkout & PG Integrations: Own the end-to-end checkout funnel. Design, integrate, and optimize payment gateways, aggregators, routing engines, and tokenization solutions to lower latency and increase Payment Success Rates (PSR).

• Payment journeys: product initiatives across payment stacks: UPI(Intent, Collect, QR, AutoPay, Credit on UPI), Cards – Debit & credit, Netbanking, Wallets and BNPL

• Product Discovery & Execution: Define the payment strategy, prioritize the product backlog, and write clear, engineering-ready PRDs with explicit technical acceptance criteria and edge-case handling logic.

• Conversion Optimization & Funnel Analysis: Use analytical tools (SQL, Mixpanel, Amplitude) to identify drop-off points, design A/B tests, and optimize payment recovery flows (e.g., auto-retry mechanisms, dynamic fallback options).

• Reconciliation & Settlement Operations: Collaborate with finance and operations to build reliable automated reconciliation, refund, payout, and chargeback/dispute resolution workflows.

• Regulatory Compliance & Security: Maintain strict compliance with RBI, NPCI, PCI-DSS guidelines, and PA/PG regulatory frameworks from initial spec to production rollout.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner directly with Engineering, UX/UI Design, Risk & Fraud, Legal, and Bank/Partner Integration teams to deliver features on schedule.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 4–5 years of hands-on Product Management experience within Fintech,

Digital Payments, or E-commerce.

• Domain Mastery: Proven experience with PG/PA integrations, checkout funnel

optimization, UPI infrastructure (P2P/P2M, AutoPay)

• Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to read API documentation, map sequence diagrams, understand webhook architectures, and collaborate closely with backend/infrastructure engineers.

• Data-Driven Mindset: Hands-on experience analyzing funnel metrics, building reports via SQL or BI tools, and conducting hypothesis-driven experimentation.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Indian digital payments ecosystem, including NPCI circulars, RBI payment guidelines, and tokenization mandates.

• Execution Excellence: Track record of taking complex 0-to-1 or 1-to-10 payment products from concept to launch in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with merchant onboarding/activation flows or developer-facing APIs/SDKs.

• Hands-on familiarity with fraud mitigation tools, risk engines, or AI-assisted product development workflows.
