Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing improvement, maintenance, and lifecycle management of our products. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical design expertise, hands-on experience with SolidWorks, and the ability to independently analyze and resolve product-related issues. This role requires close collaboration with manufacturing, quality, service, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure product reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently investigate and resolve product-related issues reported by customers, manufacturing, or service teams.
- Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for product failures and reliability concerns.
- Support manufacturing, quality assurance, service, and operations teams in troubleshooting and continuous product improvement activities.
- Review, modify, and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.
- Implement engineering change requests (ECR/ECO) and ensure proper documentation control.
- Coordinate with design and production teams to improve product performance, manufacturability, and quality.
- Analyze field failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and company processes.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for product enhancements.
Technical Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in Product Maintenance, Product Support, Sustaining Engineering, or Mechanical Design.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SolidWorks.
- Experience in engineering documentation, BOM management, and drawing revisions.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis methodologies and FMEA.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Good understanding of engineering design principles and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in manufacturing and quality environments.
- Exposure to change management processes and engineering change documentation.
- Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical product development processes will be an added advantage.
