Product Lead – Display

Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) is looking for a Product Lead – Display to drive next‑generation vehicle display systems from concept to SOP. This role demands strong technical leadership, system thinking, and execution excellence across the entire product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the display engineering team end‑to‑end, owning delivery, quality, cost, and timelines
• Define and review display module architecture, specifications, and vehicle integration
• Drive design concepts considering functional needs, cost, weight, packaging, geometry, gap & flush, and vehicle‑level constraints
• Execute validation and testing for optical, electrical, and environmental performance
• Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations for display defects
• Manage engineering issues during product ramp‑up and field returns
• Lead PoCs and future technology evaluations for upcoming display innovations
• Own and govern SOR, DVP, TSO, TKO, and technical documentation
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and cross‑functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Program)
• Track design release, development, validation status, and field performance
• Apply DFMEA, structured problem‑solving techniques, and project management tools
• Support builds, validation activities, and ensure readiness till SOP

Qualifications

• BE / BTech or MTech in Mechatronics Engineering

Required Skills

• 7–15 years of experience in automotive display / HMI / E&E product development
• Strong vehicle‑level system knowledge of displays and related E&E aggregates
• Hands‑on experience with display performance analysis tools (Imaging Colorimeters, Goniometers, etc.)
• Exposure to CATIA V5 (sections, packaging reviews, model guidance)
• Good understanding of electronics, LEDs, and vehicle electronics
• Proven supplier coordination from concept to SOP
• Strong program management, documentation, and execution skills
• Ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and deliver under tight timelines
• Open to short/medium‑term travel (India & overseas)
