Role- Product Feature Engineer- PEF

Experience: 9+ Years

Location: Chennai

We are looking for an experienced PEF Engineer/Lead with strong expertise in Automotive Product Development, Program Management, Supplier Management, and Cost Optimization. The candidate will be responsible for driving product development activities, implementing VAVE initiatives, managing engineering changes, and ensuring successful product launch and quality performance.

• Candidates must be from to be from OEM/Tier 1.
• He should have end to end development milestone experience (Styling to SOP)
• Experience In post-Production activities
• Ideal candidate should have core Program management experience with excellent communication & leadership skill.
• Candidate must have hands-on development experience for complete system.
• Candidates from Trims/Lighting /seating/Metal domain preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product development programs from concept to SOP.
• Drive Cost Reduction, Value Engineering (VE), and VAVE projects.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams for project execution.
• Conduct DFM, DFA, DFMA, and DFMEA reviews to improve product quality and manufacturability.
• Manage engineering changes and support change management activities.
• Analyze and resolve field issues using structured problem-solving methods.
• Drive defect management and corrective action implementation.
• Ensure program targets for quality, cost, and delivery are achieved.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, or related Engineering discipline.
• 9+ years of experience in Automotive Product Engineering/Product Development.

Preferred: Experience in OEM/Tier-1 automotive environment with a proven track record of cost-saving and new product development projects.
