Key Responsibilities
Developer Advocacy & Community Engagement:
- Act as a technical evangelist, showcasing products and solutions in developer communities, conferences, meetups, and online forums.
- Engage actively with the developer community via platforms like Slack, GitHub, StackOverflow, and through open-source contributions.
- Build demos, sample code, tutorials, and technical content, such as blogs, webinars, and GitHub projects.
Solution Engineering & Presales Support:
- Work closely with solutions architects and sales teams to deliver Proof of Concepts (PoCs), technical deep-dives, and provide presales support.
- Translate customer and developer feedback into actionable insights for product improvement.
- Support clients with SQL performance tuning, database optimization, and adoption of analytics platforms.
Technical Content Creation & Collaboration:
- Partner with marketing to deliver presentations, whitepapers, and technical case studies.
- Create and maintain technical content, such as blog posts and documentation, that highlights the value of the data/analytics platform.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in developer advocacy, presales engineering, or customer success in the data/analytics ecosystem.
- Strong expertise in databases and SQL, with a focus on query optimization, performance tuning, and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, MongoDB, SingleStore, Cloudera, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.
- Programming knowledge in Python, Scala, or Java (bonus: R, Go, or Lua).
- Experience with big data frameworks like Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, content creation, and technical writing.
- Comfortable working in multicultural, customer-facing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Developer Advocate, Technical Evangelist, or Solutions Engineer at a database, cloud, or analytics company.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
- Proven record of speaking at industry conferences, meetups, or webinars.
- Active contributor to open-source projects or developer communities.
