Job description:
We are looking for a technically strong and detail-orientedProduct Engineer Space Systemsto support the design, development, and lifecycle management of our space products and solutions. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, and business development teams to ensure product excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Product Engineering & Development:
- Support thedesign, development, testing, and technical validationof satellite's RF systems, subsystems, and payloads.
- Act as thetechnical interfacebetween engineering, customers, and business development teams to accurately capture and implement product requirements.
- Assist in definingproduct specifications, features, and design trade-offsbased on customer needs and technical feasibility.
- Develop and maintain comprehensivetechnical documentation, including product requirements, design descriptions, interface control documents (ICDs), technical reports, test procedures, and qualification reports.
- Participate inproduct testing, qualification activities, and technical reviewsto ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with mission requirements.
- Identify opportunities forproduct improvement, cost reduction, and process optimizationthroughout the product lifecycle.
- Supportsystem integrationactivities and troubleshoot technical issues during manufacturing, testing, and delivery phases.
- Collaborate withproject managers and engineering leadsto ensure timely execution of product development activities.
Business Development & Product Strategy:
- Provide technical input to thebusiness developmentand proposal teams to support project bids and customer discussions.
- Develop the relevant documentation, includingbusiness cases, technical proposals, presentations, white papers, and marketing materialsto support business growth initiatives.
- Develop and executebusiness development strategiesto expand Azista's market presence in small satellite systems and space services.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to assesstechnical feasibility, define product roadmaps, and refine solutions aligned with customer mission objectives.
- Monitormarket trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologiesto inform product strategy and identify new market opportunities.
- Supportpricing strategies, contract negotiations, and proposal submissionsto meet business objectives.
- Represent Azista atindustry events, trade fairs, conferences, and customer meetingsto showcase capabilities and build partnerships.
- Ensuresmooth project transitionsfrom business development to execution teams, maintaining alignment between customer expectations and internal deliverables.
- Drive internal initiatives forcontinuous improvementof business processes, tools, and customer engagement frameworks.
Qualifications:
- 13 yearsof experience inproduct management, business development, or sales engineeringin the space, aerospace, or related industries.
- Bachelor's degree inEngineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems), Physics, or equivalent; MBA or business certification is a plus.
- Strong technical foundation insatellite systems, space missions, or aerospace technologies.
- Proven ability todevelop technical proposals, documentation, presentations, and business cases.
- Familiarity with satellite mission planning, system design trade-offs, communications systems, and space mission lifecycle.
- Knowledge ofremote sensing, Earth observation markets, or RF communicationsis a plus.
- Strategic mindset with stronganalytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellentwritten and verbal communicationand strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in afast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment.
