We are seeking a skilled Product Engineer with strong experience in Calypso to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Calypso architecture, APIs, and treasury products, along with solid expertise in Java and Oracle databases. This role involves working closely with front office, risk, and operations teams to support and enhance trading systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support solutions within the Calypso platform
- Work on Calypso front office modules including trading, pricing, and risk functionalities
- Configure and manage workflows, scheduled tasks, and Calypso engines
- Support end-to-end trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, validation, settlement, and reporting
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Integrate Calypso with external systems using REST APIs, FIX, and Kafka
- Ensure system stability, performance optimization, and issue resolution
- Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and production support
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Calypso
- Strong understanding of Calypso architecture and APIs
- Solid experience with Core Java and Oracle Database
- Good understanding of REST API frameworks
- Knowledge of real-time integration patterns (FIX/Kafka)
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle
- Experience with settlement, accounting, reporting, scheduled tasks, workflows, and engines
- Hands-on experience with Calypso Front Office modules, including:
- Trading workstation
- Pricing sheets
Domain Knowledge
- Strong understanding of treasury products, including:
- FX / Money Market (MM)
- Bonds
- Repo
- Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)
- Cross Currency Swaps (CCS)
- Credit Default Swaps (CDS)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Calypso ERS (Enterprise Risk System)
- Knowledge of Risk and Limit modules
- Exposure to SA-CCR, FRTB, or other regulatory frameworks
