Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end product development of mechanical power transmission products from concept design, engineering, validation, and launch.
  • Drive design optimization of disc/flexible couplings considering torque transmission, misalignment, fatigue life, and high-speed applications.
  • Perform engineering analysis including FEA, stress analysis, fatigue studies, material selection, and product performance validation.
  • Manage R&D testing activities, prototype development, laboratory validation, reliability testing, and failure analysis.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and commercial teams on DFM, cost optimization, technical support, and product improvements.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, compliance requirements, and product standards including API, AGMA, and ISO guidelines.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of experience in mechanical product development, preferably within couplings, gears, rotating equipment, or industrial machinery. The individual should have strong experience in CAD tools (SolidWorks/Creo/CATIA), FEA tools (ANSYS/Abaqus), mechanical testing, validation protocols, and product lifecycle management. Exposure to high-speed rotating equipment, fatigue analysis, API/AGMA standards, and leading engineering/R&D teams will be preferred.
