Product Development Engineer 2

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and modern frameworks.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver robust end-to-end product features.
• Ensure application performance optimization, high availability, and fault tolerance across distributed systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring quality and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work with microservices and cloud-native architectures on platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, identifying opportunities for scalability, performance, and reliability improvements.
• Provide production support including debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving critical issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3–6 years of experience in backend software development using Java (version 8 or above).
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework ecosystem.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and caching solutions (Redis, Memcached).
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration tools is a plus.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Good to Have:

• Experience working in product-based or SaaS environments.
• Exposure to AI/ML-driven product ecosystems.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or GraphQL.
• Understanding of performance tuning and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
