Inviting applications for the role of Product Development Lead - Jewelry Merchandising

Location: Bangkok

We are looking for a Jewelry Product Development Specialist who will oversee the entire process of creating new jewelry collections, from initial concept ideation through market research, design development, sourcing materials, production, and quality control, while collaborating with designers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products aligned with market trends and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Concept Development:
• Identify market trends and customer preferences through research to inform new jewelry collection concepts
• Collaborate with designers to develop creative and innovative jewelry designs that align with brand identity
• Generate product line plans, including style, color palettes, and pricing strategies
• Design and Prototyping
• Work with CAD designers to create 3D models of jewelry pieces
• Oversee the production of physical prototypes for evaluation and refinement
• Ensure designs meet technical specifications and production feasibility
• Sourcing and Vendor Management
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor production schedules.

Production Oversight:

• Collaborate with production team to ensure smooth production process
• Monitor quality control measures throughout production to maintain consistent standards
• Address any production issues and implement corrective actions
• Market Analysis and Sales Support
• Analyze sales data to identify successful and underperforming products
• Provide insights to the sales team on product positioning and marketing strategies
• Collaborate with marketing to develop product launch plans

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of jewelry design principles, manufacturing techniques (casting, setting, soldering) gemstone grading and metal properties.

Market Awareness:

Deep knowledge of current jewelry trends, consumer preferences and competitor landscape.

Design Skills:

Ability to translate design concepts into tangible jewelry pieces and provide constructive feedback to designers.

Project Management:

Proven ability to manage complex product development projects from concept to launch within deadlines and budget constraints.

Relevant Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in jewelry product development, ideally within a design house or manufacturing company.
• Proven track record of successfully launching new jewelry collections.
• Expertise in CAD software for jewelry design.
