MapleRecord is a modern SaaS platform designed for North American municipalities to streamline Records Management, FOI processing, retention schedules, and Information Governance. We are building a high-speed, user-focused product in a fast-paced environment, and we need a designer who can move quickly without compromising quality.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Product Designer with exceptional Figma skills (Figma Make) who can convert ideas into high-quality designs rapidly. The ideal candidate can work in a fast-paced, iterative environment and produce wireframes, mockups, and prototypes with minimal supervision. Freelancers and immediate joiners are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end UX/UI design for multiple MapleRecord modules.
- Produce high-quality wireframes, mockups, and prototypes extremely quickly.
- Work closely with product owners and developers to translate workflows into simple, intuitive designs.
- Maintain and expand the MapleRecord design system in Figma.
- Collaborate with SMEs to validate workflows related to Records Management, FOI, retention, and audit trails.
- Conduct quick iterations based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure output quality remains high even under speed constraints.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15 years of experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer.
- Master-level proficiency in Figma (auto-layout, variables, prototyping, design systems).
- Proven ability to design fast, with rapid iteration cycles.
- Experience working in fast-moving startup or agency environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing workflow-heavy or SaaS designs.
- Excellent communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Available for immediate joining or freelance engagement.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience designing government, records management, or compliance-based platforms.
- Understanding of accessibility (AODA/WCAG).
- Familiarity with React-based UI handoff.
