Product Designer

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka (5 days work from office)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Designer who will partner with product managers, engineers, and data analysts to craft intuitive, visually appealing interfaces for Ola's consumer and driver facing apps. The designer will own the end‑to‑end design process—from research and ideation to high‑fidelity prototyping and usability testing—ensuring that every touchpoint aligns with Ola's business goals and delivers a delightful user experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability tests) to uncover consumer and driver needs and pain points
• Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate insights into design solutions that support AB testing
• Develop design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency across Ola's mobile and web products
• Participate in design critiques, incorporate feedback, and iterate rapidly based on data and stakeholder input
• Monitor mobility-industry trends and emerging UI/UX patterns to recommend and suggest product enhancements

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-3+ years of product design experience, preferably in consumer/driver facing mobile apps or mobility platforms
• Strong portfolio showcasing E2E product design features, including research, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI
• Proficiency in design tools, prototyping principles and solid understanding of user‑centered, interaction, and usability
• Ability to work in agile environments, participate in sprint planning, and deliver assets on schedule
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable presenting design rationale to product and other teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing for ride‑hailing, logistics, or on‑demand services
• Knowledge of front‑end technologies (HTML/CSS, React.js) to facilitate smoother handoff with developers
• Familiarity with data‑informed design—using metrics, heatmaps, and A/B test results to guide decisions
• Background in design systems or component‑library creation
• Passion for mobility, sustainability, and creating inclusive experiences for diverse user groups
