About Marbles Health

Marbles Health is at the forefront of personalized Brain Health, revolutionizing the field with cutting-edge e-medicine solutions that combine neuroscience, psychology, and AI. Our offerings range from portable brain stimulation devices to comprehensive digital therapeutics. We're looking for a Product Designer who can shape how our users experience health, from first interaction to long-term engagement.

Role Overview As Product Designer at Marbles Health, you'll own the end-to-end design of our product experience from early strategy and user research through to final UI execution. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to influence not just how the product looks, but how it works and why.

This isn't a role for someone whose first instinct is only I can make this look pretty.

Before you read further, a few honest questions:

A user's health data flow feels confusing. What's your first move

I'll flag it to the PM and wait for direction.

I'll sit with the clinical logic until I understand why it's built this way, then propose what should change.

You're designing a screen explaining a brain-health metric to a non-technical user. Where do you start

I'll make it look clean and modern.

I'll figure out what the user is actually afraid of or confused about, then design for that first.

How do you use Claude or ChatGPT in your work

I use it for inspiration and copy.

I use it to pressure-test flows, generate variants fast, and get from a rough idea to a testable prototype in hours, not days.

What does ownership look like to you

I hand off the Figma file and move to the next ticket.

I stay close to it post-launch - funnel data, session recordings, A/B results - because shipping isn't the finish line.

If the yeah! answers sound like you, keep reading.

What You'll Do

  • Lead UX strategy for key product areas — translating user needs, business goals, and clinical/health considerations into clear design direction.
  • Design end-to-end user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI for web and mobile experiences.
  • Conduct and synthesize user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys) to validate design decisions.
  • Build and maintain a scalable design system/component library in collaboration with engineering.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers from ideation through shipping — you're in the room for strategy, not just execution.
  • Translate complex health information into simple, trustworthy, and accessible interfaces.
  • Use data (funnel metrics, session recordings, A/B tests) to inform and iterate on designs post-launch.
  • Present design rationale clearly to stakeholders, including non-design leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • 3-6 years of experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer, ideally in a consumer app, health tech, or fintech environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating both UX thinking (flows, research, problem-framing) and high-quality UI execution.
  • Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) and familiarity with prototyping tools.
  • Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity — you can turn a loosely defined problem into a structured design process.
  • Basic understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG), especially relevant in health products used by diverse populations.
  • Strong communication skills, able to justify design decisions with reasoning, not just aesthetics.
  • Bonus: prior experience in health tech, wellness, or a regulated/trust-sensitive consumer category.

Nice to Have

  • Experience running or contributing to a formal design system.
  • Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS (to collaborate more fluidly with engineering).
  • Exposure to behavioral design principles (habit formation, nudges) relevant to health engagement.
  • Motion design skills (micro-interactions, transitions, product animations).
  • Experience creating print collaterals (brochures, packaging, in-clinic materials).
  • An AI-forward mindset - curiosity about using AI tools in the design process and designing AI-native product experiences.

What Success Looks Like in the First 6 Months

  • Ownership of at least one major product flow, redesigned or shipped based on user research.
  • A functioning or improved design system adopted across the product.
  • Established a lightweight, repeatable UX research process for the team.

If you want real ownership in health tech and are ready to dig into complexity most people avoid, we'd love to see your work. Kindly fill in this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeyThzAf9zfkhJTyN_X7jbcSj0a7pNzzKF9LZMcZr_fRRPjUw/viewformusp=header
