Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Product Designer with strong exposure to interior design and product development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and improving productsespecially within interior or furniture-related domainsand a solid technical understanding of materials, manufacturing, and design processes.
Key Responsibilities ;
- Design and develop new products aligned with brand vision and market needs
- Work on existing product enhancement, including redesign, optimization, and cost improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, sourcing, marketing, and production)
- Create detailed design concepts, sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and construction techniques suited for interior applications
- Ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and meet quality standards
- Conduct research on trends in interiors, furniture, and lifestyle products
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for prototyping and production
- Oversee product lifecycle from concept to launch.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or related field
- Strong exposure to interior products (furniture, dcor, fixtures, or similar categories)
- Proven experience in new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD)
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp, or similar
- Good understanding of materials (wood, metal, upholstery, finishes, etc.) and manufacturing processes
- Ability to translate concepts into production-ready designs
- Strong problem-solving and technical thinking skills
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Qualification :
- Experience working with furniture brands, interior firms, or product-based companies
- Exposure to vendor coordination and factory processes
- Knowledge of costing and value engineering
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in design
