What are you expected to do as a Product Designer at Tessell
- Supportive Independence: Work under the guidance of senior designers and project leads, gradually building independence in completing design tasks.
- Problem-Solving: Contribute to addressing design and user problems with guidance, utilizing established design principles and patterns.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in planning, executing, and communicating design work in the best interest of Tessell and its diverse user base.
- Quality Focus: Assist in maintaining design quality and consistency within the scope of feature or project-level work with guidance and mentorship.
What types of tasks would you be focused on
- Problem Identification: Focus on learning and growth while identifying medium complexity design and user problems. Contribute to solutions with guidance and feedback.
- Proactive Learning: Proactively identify design challenges within project or product teams, and provide innovative solutions under the mentorship of senior designers.
- Contributing to User-Centered Design: Learn to recognise when proposed solutions deliver limited benefit to users or create/reinforce inequities in experiences, and collaborate with team leads to address these issues.
How are you expected to execute good design at Tessell
- Learning and Collaboration: Collaborate with multiple teams to learn from and assist in cross-project collaborations. Work under mentorship to navigate, execute, and communicate user needs, constraints, and opportunities.
- Learning and Mentorship: Embrace mentorship from senior UX designers and learn to identify and challenge dominant design paradigms.
- Growth and Learning: Contribute to evolving team design principles, processes, and methods, learning how to challenge and evolve dominant paradigms with senior designer support.
What expertise do we expect from you
- Have a basic understanding of UX design principles and design fundamentals.
- Be open to learning and expanding your knowledge of user-centered product development and design methodologies.
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn from and contribute to the design team's efforts.
Your Profile Would Stand Out If You Have:
- A genuine interest in UX design and a strong commitment of prior experience highlighting it.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in UX designing.
- Experience working with early stage efforts and startups
