Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Apply and support the development of design processes such as Design Review, Virtual Review, and tools like Creo, DFMEA, DVP&R, DFM, DFA, and tolerance stack-up.
Conduct cross-functional design reviews independently and seek guidance from experts as needed.
Perform 3D CAD modelling of major casting components and other engine parts like plumbing, sheet metal brackets, etc.
Create and check 2D drawings with application of GD&T and ensure design is suitable for manufacturing, service, and assembly.
Develop engineering releases aligned with the component requirements for each design phase.
Provide support during engine build activities by reviewing and validating the BOM.
Support part movement during engine builds, validation, and testing stages.
Handle ETLA and manage product tailoring components/system TLA.

Requirements:

Education: MTech or BTech in Mechanical Engineering or associated branches.
Experience: 6 to 12 years of experience in product design, especially in engine component design.
CAD Expertise: Proficiency in Pro/E Creo (version 2.0 or higher) with focus on casting, sheet metal, and plumbing components.
Knowledge Areas: Understanding of the product lifecycle, manufacturing processes, design for assembly, and engine component functionality.
Preferred: MCM knowledge is desirable.
