As a Product Control Associate within our Finance team, you will be instrumental in delivering accurate financial reporting and maintaining a strong control environment. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure the integrity of financial data, support audit processes, and contribute to key business initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to drive transparency and efficiency across reporting and control functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial presentations and metrics for board meetings, finance reviews, and local management reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support internal and external audit cycles, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and maintaining a strong control framework.
- Oversee safeguarding requirements related to Client Money accounts and ensure controls are appropriately designed and implemented.
- Assist in preparing wind down plans, capital adequacy plans, and liquidity analyses for legal entities—primarily focused on the Merchant Acquiring business.
- Perform month-end close activities, including detailed financial data review, variance analysis, and delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Drive enhancements in month-end processes, promoting efficiency, transparency, and control in financial results reporting.
- Serve as a project management resource, supporting finance-driven initiatives and collaborating with key business stakeholders.
- Work with Business Managers, Product Managers, and Financial Controllers to identify, monitor, and escalate financial and operational risks.
- Contribute to strengthening the end-to-end control framework within the business and finance function.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Qualified accountant with 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a background in financial reporting or product control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a sharp focus on control and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
- Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a matrixed, global environment.
- Proven experience in identifying control gaps and remediating issues affecting financial accuracy and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Working knowledge of Treasury Services and Merchant Acquiring products, including cash management, payment clearing, and liquidity management.
- Proficiency in Alteryx, Tableau, and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with SAP and other financial systems used for reporting and analytics.
