About the job:

Role: Product Configuration Engineer

Location: Vasai (Mumbai) & Chakan (Pune)

Department: Production

Qualification: Diploma- Mechanical / Engineering degree

Experience: 7 to 11 years of experience in Designing of configuration products for production planning in medium volume equipment manufacturing industry (Preferred Medical background)

Note: This position will be initially based in Vasai for 6 months and then move to Chakan, Pune.

Purpose:

Support product lifecycle management and work closely with Sales, Production, and cross‑functional teams to finalize product configurations and ensure timely, compliant delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finalize product configurations using AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
  • Review customer inputs and prepare Technical Data Sheets (TDS).
  • Support Sales in technical clarifications and customer approvals.
  • Transfer approved orders to Production with complete technical documentation (DXF, wiring diagrams, BOM, etc.).
  • Coordinate with Design, NPI, and R&D teams during change management and design transfer.
  • Ensure manufacturing feasibility, quality requirements, and on‑time project delivery.
  • Create and maintain BOMs and components in SAP and PLM systems.
  • Support product costing, process verification, and setup approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, ISO 9001/13485, GDP, and CAPA.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Engineering Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7–11 years of experience in product configuration/design for medium‑volume equipment manufacturing (medical device experience preferred).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands‑on experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SAP, and PLM.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and measurement techniques.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
  • Result‑oriented, tactful, and detail‑focused.
