Product Compliance Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review documentation for electronics, electrical, and mechanical design outputs required by third-party certification agencies (Intertek, UL, TUV, etc.).
• Conduct pre-compliance verification at both product and module levels for machine safety, EMI/EMC, and other relevant certifications.
• Create detailed test cases, test plans, and test environments to execute functional safety and certification testing for internal teams and external laboratories.
• Provide testing feedback that supports design validation and production readiness decisions.
• Lead and coordinate testing of electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical components in a cross-functional setup.
• Ensure complete product compliance from design phase through to field installation and acceptance testing.
• Provide design improvement suggestions and feedback based on test outcomes.
• Perform reliability, safety, and abnormal condition testing such as HALT-HASS and certification-specific tests.
• Interpret and understand electronic schematics and layouts for test and compliance evaluation.
• Apply knowledge of IEC, UL, CE, EN, and CSA safety standards related to low voltage and machine directive compliance.
• Demonstrate a foundational understanding of functional safety for programmable electronics and safety-related devices.
