Product Analyst

About the Role
We are looking for a Product Analyst to join our Data Centre of Excellence and help drive deeper understanding of how users interact with our digital products.
This role sits within the product development lifecycle, supporting product teams from defining event tracking and measurement requirements, through QA and release validation, to monitoring and analysing feature performance after launch.
You will analyse event-level behavioural data, user journeys, and feature adoption to identify opportunities to improve activation, engagement, and retention. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, QA, and Senior Product Analysts to ensure product analytics is reliable and insights help guide product decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Product Behaviour and Feature Analytics
Analyse user journeys, funnels, and feature adoption using product analytics tools such as Mixpanel
Identify behavioural friction points, drop-offs, and opportunities to improve engagement and retention
Conduct cohort and behavioural analyses to better understand different user segments
Support product teams with insight on feature performance and user behaviour
Build dashboards and reports to monitor product usage and key behavioural KPIs
Product Measurement and Event Tracking
Work with Product Managers and Senior Product Analysts to define measurement approaches for new features
Translate measurement needs into clear event tracking requirements for engineering teams
Maintain and update event tracking documentation and tracking plans
Ensure analytics instrumentation supports reliable product measurement
QA, Release Validation and Hypercare Monitoring
Partner with QA and engineering teams to validate event tracking during UAT and release cycles
Use SQL and analytics tools to confirm events are firing correctly and data is accurate
Monitor new feature launches during hypercare to ensure behavioural metrics remain stable
Identify anomalies or data quality issues and escalate for resolution
Insight Communication and Stakeholder Support
Translate behavioural data into clear insights and narratives for product teams
Support feature reviews and performance discussions with data-backed observations
Present insights clearly and recommend actions grounded in user behaviour
What We're Looking For
Experience
46 years in analytics, ideally supporting digital products, product analytics, or behavioural data analysis
Technical Skills
Strong SQL, comfortable querying event-level datasets
Experience with product analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or GA4
BI experience using tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
Mindset and Capabilities
Analytical thinker with strong curiosity about user behaviour
Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and reliability
Comfortable working with product, engineering, and QA teams within sprint cycles
Clear communicator who can turn data into actionable insights
