Job Description
Product Analyst – Trading & Investing Platform | HDFC SKY
Mumbai | Full-time
About HDFC SKY
HDFC SKY is the discount broking app from HDFC Securities. It pairs the trust of one of India's most respected financial names with an app built for how people invest today. Stocks, F&O, mutual funds, IPOs, and global investing, all in one place.
About the role
Every tap on SKY tells a story: why an investor placed their first trade, why someone dropped off at KYC, why a feature took off or went quiet. As a Product Analyst, you'll find those stories in the data and turn them into decisions. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers and designers, and your analysis will shape what we build next.
If you like SQL and markets in roughly equal measure, this role is for you.
What you'll do
- Track and analyse user behaviour across the investor journey, from onboarding and activation to trading and retention
- Define, build and own dashboards for key product metrics
- Dig into funnels to find drop-off points and opportunities to improve the experience
- Design and analyse A/B tests for new features, flows and nudges
- Work with product managers to size opportunities and set success metrics before features launch
- Run post-launch reviews to measure what worked, what didn't, and why
- Turn complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for product and leadership teams
- Partner with engineering to improve event tracking and data quality
What you'll bring
- Experience in product analytics, business analytics or data analytics, ideally at a consumer tech, fintech or app-first company
- Strong SQL skills (you should be comfortable writing complex queries without looking up the syntax)
- Hands-on experience with a BI or visualisation tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker or Metabase
- Working knowledge of Python or R for analysis
- Familiarity with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, CleverTap or Google Analytics
- A solid understanding of funnels, cohorts, retention and experimentation
- The ability to explain your findings to people who don't live in spreadsheets
Good to have
- Interest in or understanding of equity markets, derivatives or mutual funds
- Experience with statistical methods for testing and forecasting
- Exposure to broking, lending, payments or wealth-tech products
