Own product performance analytics and consumer insights end-to-end, translating data and research into clear recommendations, MIS rhythms, and experiment readouts that improve acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue.
What the role will do- Build and maintain product KPIs, dashboards, and weekly/monthly MIS to track funnels, cohorts, retention, and feature adoption across segments.
- Write performant SQL to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets for business reviews, deep dives, and leadership decision-making.
- Design and analyze A/B tests with clear hypotheses, guardrails, and decision criteria; track experiment velocity and impact.
- Partner with PMs and Design to run consumer research (surveys, interviews, usability tests, diary studies) and synthesize insights with behavioral data.
- Maintain metric definitions, event taxonomies, and tracking plans; QA analytics instrumentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Deliver concise executive-ready narratives that tie insights to next actions, expected impact, and owners.
- Conduct competitor and industry scans; publish periodic briefs on user needs, market shifts, and implications for roadmap.
- Build self-serve analytics assets, templates, and playbooks that scale insight generation across teams.
Day-to-day responsibilities- Own MIS cadence: daily KPI flash, weekly product performance deck, monthly business review inputs, and quarterly insights compendium.
- Monitor activation, program completion, upsell, churn, and payback; flag anomalies and run root-cause analyses.
- Lead funnel and cohort analyses for critical journeys; recommend and prioritize fixes with clear ROI.
- Scope and size opportunities using SQL, basic statistics, and back-of-the-envelope models; partner with finance on impact sizing.
- Translate research findings into problem statements, JTBD, and acceptance criteria that guide product decisions.
- Prepare experiment readouts and post-mortems with data, learnings, and next bets.
Must-have qualifications- 23 years in product analytics, consumer insights, or BI supporting product teams.
- Strong SQL proficiency (joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning) and comfort working directly in data warehouses.
- Hands-on with product analytics and visualization tools (e.g., GA4/Mixpanel/Amplitude and Tableau/Looker/Power BI/Sheets).
- Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests; fluency with core statistical concepts (significance, power, variance).
- Proven ability to turn data and research into crisp narratives and prioritized recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills across product, design, engineering, marketing, and operations.
Nice-to-have qualifications- Exposure to health-tech, wellness, or service-led journeys with multi-step fulfillment.
- Familiarity with Python or R for exploratory analysis and automation.
- Experience with survey platforms and UX research tooling (e.g., Qualtrics, Typeform, Lookback, Dovetail).
- Knowledge of event tracking, CDP practices, and data governance.
