Job Overview
Our client is looking for a Product & Web Designer to lead the evolution of an early-stage concept into a polished, market-ready digital presence. This unique role blends strategic research and product specification with hands-on no-code development. You will spend the first phase researching the Australian government landscape and documenting product requirements, followed by a second phase where you will build and launch a high-end website using Framer.

They are in the critical phase of defining a new product/service concept and require a specialist who can navigate procurement standards while executing a modern, clean digital identity. The team values agility, detail-oriented documentation, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM Sydney Time, Australian Eastern Standard/Daylight Time (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities
Phase 1: Research & Strategy
- Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research into Australian government departments, procurement standards, and competitor gaps.
- Concept Refinement: Work collaboratively to shape the product's technical feasibility and digital delivery approach.
- Product Specification: Document core features, high-level technical requirements, and detailed user flows.
- Proposal Crafting: Assist in creating professional project proposals tailored for a government audience, focusing on benefits and implementation.
Phase 2: Execution & Design
- Website Build: Design and complete a modern web presence using Framer, ensuring full responsiveness across mobile and desktop.
- UI/UX Implementation: Design intuitive user journeys and implement site architecture aligned with the refined brand identity.
- Continuous Iteration: Refine the original concept based on feedback and expand documentation as the product evolves.
- Technical Support: Handle basic integrations, design updates, and technical troubleshooting as needed.
Requirements
- Core Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Framer (or similar tools like Webflow) with a proven portfolio of site builds.
- Strategic Documentation: Ability to translate abstract ideas into clear product specs, user flows, and structured proposals.
- Research Prowess: Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex sectors like government or enterprise.
- Design Eye: Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and clean modern aesthetics.
Qualifications
- Experience working on Australian government or enterprise projects (Highly Regarded).
- Familiarity with Australian procurement processes (A Significant Plus).
- Background in Product Design or early-stage startup environments (Preferred).
- Experience with no-code/low-code integrations and web architecture (Preferred).

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
