This role acts as the interface betweenGBO &Procurement community (accountable for thepurchasing strategy) ensuring Diageo buysthe rightgoodsand servicesfrom the right supplierat the right price.

Thisis a sourcing specialistrolewhichwilldirectly support theGlobal and Regional Category Procurement teams,STP systems support and suppliers.

Advanced prior experience and understanding of sourcing and contracting processes and practices is essential.

Market Complexity

This role will work withtheProcurement Category Managersand Specialistsand suppliers and will interface with business usersand seniorstakeholders.

These relationships may encompass people based in a variety of locations and across multiple cultures, languages, seniority levelsand time-zones.

Prior experience and understanding of sourcing and contracting processes and practices is essential.

APAC regional Knowledge and experience ispreferred .

Leadership Responsibilities

This role has no line managementresponsibilities,but the role will be expected to lead and managesourcingactivities that will need the candidate to showstrongleadership qualities.

This role is required to engage, manage & influence the different stakeholder groups associated withStrategicSourcingprocesses to deliver atimely and cost-effective sourcing.It requires the incumbent to haveadvanced knowledge of tendering systems and tools such asCoupa/CSOand end to end procurement processes.

The role will be expectedto share best practice acrossProcurement and Sourcing teams andto seek out insights for improvements to processes, ways of working and opportunities for consolidation of sourcing requirements.

To be effective,abroad understanding of contractual conceptswill be helpful.

• The timely managementand strategiccoordination ofsourcing requests (RFI, RFP, RFQ)and eAuctionsfrom the business within the agreed SLA's and KPI's

• Looking forand implementingopportunities for continuoussystem and processimprovement

• Providingstrongtechnical support ofeRFXand eAuctionwith strategy, content and overall eventmanagement.

• May provide recommendations on suppliers to participate in sourcing events, based on criteria such as diversity, sustainability, commercial advantage or service delivery.

• Be the champion for their defined area/portfolioof spend, including category and market/country, knowing the right sources of supply, the policies applicable and the compliance requirements as well as the external sources that can be contacted to meet the overall business requirement.

• Play a lead role in the tendering process forSupplyCategory(preferably Packaging)other category expertise is fine as well, designing the process, launchingeSourcingrequests (RFI, RFP, RFQ)andeAuction,post-event analysis,selecting the supplier and sign offcontract'srequirements(if needed)

• Provide advice and direction to businessstakeholdersdirecting them to the correctsourcingchannels.

• Create contract as neededwithin certain defined categories of spend and agreed spendparameters.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Degree educated preferably in a business orProcurement related fieldorrelevant commercial experience in a consumer products environment.

• 6+ years ofexperienceinProcurementandSourcing, includingbut not limited toprocesses, ways of working, documentation and compliancerequirements.

• Strong understanding ofSourcing.Experience inPackagingcategoryand other Supply Categories (Raw materials, Capex)is preferred.

• Advanced business, financial, legal and commercial acumen gained from previousnegotiationson sourcing projects and or contractnegotiations.

• Strong analytical, inter-personal skills, communication skills, negotiation skills and project management experience

• Proven track record of consistent performance and delivery (what & how of performance)

• Mastery ineSourcingtools,Coupaand CSO will bepreferred.

• Able to work proactively and effectively in cross functional and global team at all levels in an organisation.
