Job Summary
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating materials, equipment, mechanical parts, and industrial supplies required for ongoing projects and manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate should have experience in:

The candidate must be able to work closely with engineering, production, warehouse, and project teams to ensure timely procurement and smooth project execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing
- Source and purchase mechanical materials, industrial equipment, steel, fabrication items, and spare parts.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and compare prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders and procurement documentation.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials for projects and production.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain approved vendor lists.
- Identify new suppliers for cost optimization and quality improvement.
Coordination & Inventory Support
- Coordinate with engineering and production departments regarding material requirements.
- Work with warehouse and logistics teams for material receiving and inventory control.
- Track procurement status and update project teams regularly.
- Resolve supply chain and delivery issues efficiently.
Cost Control & Documentation
- Monitor procurement budgets and control purchasing costs.
- Maintain procurement records, invoices, quotations, and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Prepare procurement reports and material tracking updates.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- Industrial Management
Experience
- 3–7 years of procurement experience in:
- Industrial equipment
- Mechanical projects
- Steel fabrication
- Oil & Gas / Petroleum
- Manufacturing industries
Required SkillsTechnical & Procurement Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial materials and mechanical components
- Experience in procurement for fabrication and engineering projects
- Vendor negotiation and supplier management
- Cost analysis and budgeting
- Purchase order and inventory management
Software Skills
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- ERP systems experience preferred
