Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive Procurement & Purchase Executive to manage the end-to-end purchasing process for construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, ensuring timely delivery, controlling procurement costs, and maintaining a reliable vendor network.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and source construction materials, products, and services from reliable vendors.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Raise purchase orders and ensure purchases are made as per approved requirements and budgets.
- Coordinate with project/site teams to understand material requirements and delivery timelines.
- Ensure on-time material delivery to avoid project delays.
- Monitor material availability and proactively prevent shortages.
- Track purchase orders, pending deliveries, and procurement status.
- Evaluate vendor quotations based on price, quality, delivery, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve quality, delivery, and commercial issues.
- Maintain proper purchase records, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor details.
- Coordinate with Accounts for invoice verification and payment processing.
- Conduct market research to identify new vendors, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure procurement is aligned with company policies, project requirements, and approved budgets.

Qualification
- Any Degree / Diploma in Purchase, Procurement, Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction, real estate, infrastructure, or related industries preferred.

- Experience handling construction material procurement
- Good knowledge of Chennai-based construction material vendors
- Strong vendor negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements simultaneously
- Proactive in identifying procurement risks and resolving delivery issues
