Your impact
- Oversee Operations/Indirect/Corporate Purchase related assignments typically may consist of Supply, Services, Vendor Management, AMC renewals, and Sub-contracting for service deliveries
- The candidate will be assigned as a category Buyer and need to lead for his/her assigned responsibilities independently.
- Sourcing, bidding, bid evaluation, negotiation, preparing and issuing Purchase Orders
- Coordinate the procurement of subcontracted services, like workplace maintenance, security, housekeeping, transport, and asset management. Facilities related Supply and Services and administer assigned responsibilities to accomplish project or group objectives and obligations
- Manage infrastructure projects, office expansions, renovations, and space utilization
- Manage budgets, procurement, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to enhance employee workplace experience.
- Drive process improvements and administrative excellence.
- Subcontracting assignments typically may consist of professional or technical services, and major construction services. The candidate will be assigned as a category Buyer and need to lead for his/her assigned responsibilities independently.
- Ensure strict compliance to Company policies and applicable procedures while maintaining high ethical standards.
- Obtain necessary reviews and approvals of bidder exceptions, bid evaluations, source selection recommendations, Subcontracts, and change orders prior to execution.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, Facilities/REO and all other disciplines for continuity and overall program effectiveness.
- Tracking of subcontract activity, progress information, and guidance to project personnel on subcontracting issues with specific attention to change management and financial status.
- Formation of Contracts including prequalification of bidders, solicitation of proposals, proposal evaluations, source selection recommendations, leads negotiation of contract terms and pricing, conformance and finalizing of agreements, and subcontract issuance and execution.
- Ensure applicable prime contract flow-downs are identified, addressed, and included in assigned subcontracts.
- Maintain the database of potential and qualified Suppliers, including performance history.
- Maintaining effective relationships with subcontractors, project team members, other User Department, management, clients, and support organizations.
- Mentoring and guiding User Department/Project Team
- Selects products and negotiates buying terms with vendors, including price, margin, exclusivity, and delivery terms.
- Attends buyer meetings online and in person.
- Analyze costing history/trends for each product category
Here's what you'll need
- With 7 to 8 years of work experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate with relevant experience in Sourcing & Procurement of Corporate Procurement
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities
- Good understanding of compliance, procurement, and budget management
Accountability
- Accountable to the assigned Procurement Manager
- Shall work independently and be accountable for overall performance as Buyer
- Strong negotiating skills
- Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and industry standard purchase order software platforms
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to work well with a team
- Able to thrive in a high-stress and fast-paced environment
Project Delivery Knowledge
- Understands the project delivery processes as used for various contracting scopes and their relationship to Corporate (Indirect) Procurement procedures.
Communications
- Has good communications and writing skills.
- Can effectively author and compile subcontract documents, as well as internal and external communications, proposals, and reports
- Must be able to effectively communicate with subcontractors, project teams, and others to organize and motivate them to achieve
Systems
- Fully conversant to electronic mail, and standard Microsoft Office software.
- Working skills in Oracle iProcurement, Icertis, SAP Ariba will be an added advantage.
- Familiar with the capabilities/aptitude of a subcontracts management system and has a good understanding of how to use it for the subcontracting activities shall be preferred, but not mandatory.
