Procurement Process Lead
About the Role
Stellantis is reinventing the future of mobility by establishing a next-generation global Software Engineering organization (SWE). As part of this transformation, the SWEO/SCPO team is driving simplification, governance, and digital enablement of global procurement operations.
We are seeking a Global Procurement Process Lead to own the end-to-end Procurement Intake → Contract → PR → PO process and the enabling digital tools (e.g., SPEND, SWORD, dashboards). This role is accountable for how procurement work flows globally, ensuring clarity, compliance, scalability, and continuous improvement across all regions.
Key Responsibilities
Process Ownership & Governance
- Own and manage a global procurement process that centralizes data & communication related to Statements of Work, Contract Management, Sourcing, Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Delivery and invoicing within various SAP systems in every region.
- Define and maintain process scope, ownership, handoffs, and decision rights across regions.
- Establish and enforce global governance standards, ensuring compliance with purchasing policies, audit requirements, and financial controls. Communicate changes and governance decisions clearly.
- Act as the final escalation point for process-related issues.
- Partner with Global Purchasing, Finance, Legal, ICT, and SWE Domain leadership.
- Drive automation and system integration opportunities.
- Champion user-centric design and simplification.
Tool Ownership & Enablement
- Serve as Business Owner for procurement tools and platforms (e.g., SPEND, SWORD, reporting tools).
- Define tool requirements including fields, validations, workflows, statuses, and integrations.
- Prioritize enhancements focused on simplification and automation.
- Ensure tools reflect the current global process, not legacy practices.
- Define and own global procurement KPIs.
- Ensure availability and accuracy of dashboards and reports.
- Use data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Operational Excellence
- Be an expert in the Global Procurement Process and coach SWE Domains on the process and procurement requirements
- Ensure processes are scalable, repeatable, and audit-ready.
- Maintain RASCI models and process documentation.
- Support training and change management.
- Process adaptation during org restructures and operating model changes
- Impact assessment and transition without execution or compliance disruption
- Internal and external benchmarking against peers and best practices
- Conducting and Using benchmark insights to drive simplification and maturity improvements
- Embedding lessons learned into standard processes, tools, and governance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline
- A minimum of 8-10 years experience that includes 8 years experience in leading the Procurement Operations or Global Process Ownership roles
- Possess strong problem-solving skills with customer centric approach, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and ability to work with diverse Global teams
- Ability to define metrics and quantify business value
- Highly Self-driven, proactive, and outcome-oriented mindset
- Proven experience owning global processes and enterprise tools
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (requisition creation, PO management, approvals)
- High proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and collaboration platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in global, matrixed organizations.
- Strong understanding of procurement, finance, and compliance interactions.
- Experience with automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Advanced experience using workflow management, and reporting.
- Prior experience in Project Management or Business Finance functions.
- Experience working in an automotive OEM or large global enterprise environment.
- Previous collaboration with global teams, offshore teams, and external vendors.
- Working knowledge of software engineering or ICT procurement processes is a plus.
