Basic Purpose: The Procurement Power BI & Data Analytics Analyst is responsible for serving as a core analytics, reporting, and insights resource for the Procurement COE supporting day-to-day procurement operations. This role requires advanced Power BI dashboard development, KPI reporting, data modeling, reporting automation, and procurement data analysis.

This position will help modernize procurement reporting by building new reports, automating manual reporting, developing advanced Power BI dashboards, improving visibility into procurement operational performance, and enabling more proactive, data-driven decision-making. The role will support procurement operations across Indirect Procurement, Direct Procurement, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Systems Administration, while helping establish standardized analytics, KPI governance, and reporting discipline across the function.

A strong understanding of the end-to-end Source-to-Pay (P2P) process is essential, as this role will translate procurement and transactional data into actionable business insights across requisitioning, purchase orders, receipts, invoices, supplier enablement, and compliance monitoring.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform spend analysis and prepare recurring procurement reporting and dashboards for leadership and operational stakeholders.
  • Design, build, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for procurement operations, compliance, spend visibility, supplier enablement, and PO performance.
  • Build scalable and user-friendly reporting solutions that provide meaningful operational and strategic insights to procurement leadership.
  • Automate manual procurement reports and reduce dependence on spreadsheet-based reporting and offline analysis.
  • Translate procurement business requirements into dashboard specifications, data models, reporting logic, and actionable visual insights.
  • Develop and maintain data models, calculations, and KPI logic to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of procurement reporting.
  • Partner with procurement, operations, system administrators, finance, and cross-functional teams to validate data sources, improve reporting accuracy, and align metrics across stakeholder groups.
  • Analyze procurement and P2P process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, bottlenecks, compliance gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Support reporting and analytics across the full Source-to-Pay lifecycle, including Sourcing, RFX, req to po, approvals, purchase orders, receipts, invoice holds, supplier setup/enablement, and transactional compliance.
  • Maintain reporting documentation, dashboard definitions, refresh logic, metric dictionaries, and user guidance materials.
  • Provide insights to leadership to improve compliance, reporting consistency, supplier performance visibility, process efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support ad hoc reporting, analysis requests, and management presentations related to procurement performance and process metrics.
  • Contribute to building a scalable Procurement Analytics capability and support the long-term development of the Procurement COE in India.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement analytics, spend reporting, KPI reporting, and Power BI dashboard development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX, data transformation, report publishing, and visualization design.
  • Strong experience with end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P)processes, including Sourcing, RFX, req to po,, approvals, purchase orders, receipts, invoice exceptions, supplier enablement, and compliance controls.
  • Support sourcing reporting for RFQs, RFPs, spot buys, and low-spend sourcing events.
  • Experience working with procurement systems such as Zycus, Ariba, Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience analyzing procurement transactions including requisitions, PO processing, catalog management, supplier enablement, invoice holds, and operational performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of procurement controls, PO compliance, invoice exception handling, supplier performance management, and reporting governance.
  • Experience with data extraction, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and reporting automation.
  • Experience supporting stakeholders in a global and cross-functional environment preferred.
  • Exposure to Indirect and/or Direct Procurement processes preferred.
  • Experience working with large datasets and translating business requirements into practical reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • Familiarity with procurement master data, transactional data flows, and integration dependencies preferred.

Ideal Candidate Profile - Skills/Competencies:

  • Advanced Power BI expertise with the ability to independently build, enhance, and automate procurement dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end P2P processes and how procurement data flows across requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, invoicing, and supplier enablement
  • Strong procurement functional knowledge across requisitioning, purchasing, sourcing, catalogs, suppliers, compliance, and P2P operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with KPI development, metric standardization, reporting governance, and dashboard storytelling
  • Ability to interpret procurement data and convert it into actionable business insights and leadership-ready reporting
  • Knowledge of procurement master data, transaction data, controls, and reporting dependencies
  • Strong understanding of data accuracy, validation, reconciliation, and reporting integrity
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with data transformation and query tools
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer support orientation
  • Process improvement mindset with focus on automation, simplification, and efficiency

  • Experience with procurement system reporting, data integrations, and cross-platform reporting dependencies preferred
