About The Role
We are looking for a seasoned Procurement professional to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiation, procurement governance, and mandatory US geography exposure. The role will support crossregional procurement initiatives and drive measurable value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing across CAPEX & OPEX categories
- Manage procurement activities involving US-based stakeholders and suppliers
- Conduct competitive bidding, supplier evaluation & pricing optimization
- Drive contract management, governance, and compliance
- Build strong vendor ecosystems across India & US
- Lead procurement automation, P2P transformation & process improvements
- Present insights, savings opportunities & analytics to senior leadership
- Deliver targeted cost savings and optimize budgets through negotiation and spend analysis
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in strategic procurement & category management
- Mandatory experience with US procurement processes / US vendors / US stakeholders
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management & contract governance skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and data-driven decision making
- Ability to influence and collaborate across regional teams
- Proficiency in SAP Ariba, SAP ERP, PeopleSoft, ePro, TAP and MS Office
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Management or related field
- Additional certifications in procurement, sourcing, negotiations or leadership are preferred
Preferred Experience
- 46 years of Procurement / Strategic Sourcing experience
- Experience working in BFSI, consulting, technology, or multinational environments
- Proven success in cost optimization, procurement automation & global stakeholder management (including US geography)
