About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager – Procurement to strengthen our supplier ecosystem and
ensure a reliable supply of high-quality components for the Native RO category.
This role will focus on vendor identification, development, and management to ensure
suppliers meet Urban Company's standards on quality, reliability, and cost efficiency. This
role will play a pivotal part in supplier onboarding, compliance, and capability building.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors aligned with business needs.
• Support vendor development initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement in supplier
quality, delivery, and compliance.
• Build strong partnerships with suppliers through regular reviews, capability
assessments, and feedback mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (quality, supply chain, operations, product) to
ensure vendor alignment with business requirements.
• Drive supplier audits and assessments to monitor performance on quality, cost, and
delivery.
• Ensure suppliers adhere to compliance standards, certifications, and sustainability
guidelines.
• Track vendor performance through metrics and provide insights to enable better
supplier selection and retention.
• Assist in demand and supply planning to ensure optimal inventory levels and continuity
of supply.
• Support digitization initiatives in vendor management processes.
• Highlight risks in supply continuity and escalate to leadership with mitigation
recommendations.
What We're Looking For
• Experience in procurement/vendor development, preferably in electronics, consumer
durables, automotive, or allied industries.
• Hands-on experience in developing and managing suppliers of metal, plastic, and tooling
components.
• Strong understanding of vendor capability assessments, audits, and quality systems.
• Experience with ERP tools for procurement/vendor management.
• Analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance metrics.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and execution skills with attention to detail.
• Exposure to capital equipment or component sourcing (preferred).
